The Art of Writing: A Video Review of Stephen King's 'On Writing'
In this video, I dive into Stephen King's "On Writing," one of the most popular books on writing.
He asks us to focus on reading more, writing daily, and editing later. King offers advice that will help both novice and experienced writers take their craft to the next level. We discuss how King encourages readers to make time for regular writing practice and to read widely in their genre and outside of it. King emphasizes the importance of crafting the first draft without critiquing it in real time, allowing the creative process to flow.
We also explore King's tips on editing and how the revision process can help transform a rough draft into a polished masterpiece. Whether you're a writer looking for inspiration, or simply a book lover hoping to glean some insights from a legendary author, this video will offer something valuable. So, grab some popcorn, sit back, and join us to become better writers!to help

Mike Dominguez - AFA Masters New York - 1986
I wonder if Mike would’ve been more comfortable on a longer frame like the Haro Sport or GT Pro Performer, or race frame. I see those Hutches now and they were short and a steep head tube, better for flatland, and Mike was already tall at that point. I understand now why the RL-20 II was a taller head tube as it fit bigger riders like RL better. Geometries sure have come a long way since the 80s
😂
The toughest sob out there. no one fucked with MM and lived
Thanks for hosting.. I was at this event as a spectator. What a treat!!!
Beast Mode!!!
Riding was so different then. There was more of a showmanship to it.
So this guys’s like the Rodney Mullen of BMX.
What was that BMX in the video? Is it a 20" or 24"?
Um show
mashallah LOVELY
I know that’s not the original music from the contest but I think I’ll remember that tune until the day I die and I’m 51. I remember having that cassette tape in the late 80s or early 90s and I think I still have the ramp version they came in two separate VHS one ramp one flatland. If I’m not mistaken, I remember someone talking about that contest how some of the experts were already doing better than the pros at that contest. I know it happened later on for sure.
I was only 13 years old in 1986 but I wish I made it to some of the contest they had in New York. Growing up in the Bronx freestyle was not so big. We really had no place to ride specially as a young kid streets were too narrow. We didn’t really have nice backyards Fast forward 50 almost 51 and I’m only about 20 minutes away from where I used to live in the Bronx but now I have all the space in the world to ride just not as healthy as I was bad back Crohn’s disease for my stomach, but I do get out there and ride sometimes only 10 minutes at a timebecause I’m trying to get my blood pressure under control and lose my breath pretty easy. I never made it to one AFA contest, but I was lucky enough to buy some rule books on BMX museum. That’s the closest I got.
He looks just like my cousin Danny from Michigan, who sadly passed away years ago. Ricky was one of my favorite rides along with Dennis and the only tour I believe I saw was the Haro tour with him him Dennis and Joe in the summer of 1987 at gun Hill bikes in the Bronx they got there late then the playground had water then they took a quick ride to McDonald’s to get food and so many Bike is follow them then they came back and they told the police they needed to block the street off and the police said there was no way they could get a permit that fast but somehow it worked they did it and then they did the flatland in the dry part of the park, actually I wish I went more but I was young only 14 at the time where in the Bronx there really wasn’t any good Bike Shop that had tours except that one in the Bronx. I didn’t even have a lot of riders near me plus, we had no place to ride it sucked. I was always so jealous of California riders. they had so much space in warm weather or year. My block was a typical urban block. The street was tight with cars houses and little buildings everywhere. No place to ride on another note. I am going to post the photos I have of that tour on my channel, so stay tuned.
If you watch enough of Eddie at the Pipeline, you’ll see his runs were fairly predictable.
My favorite kind of run it had old-school and new school tricks together. To be honest that is why I don’t like the runs of today. All spinning but nothing old school. I like a mix like this. Still bitter cherry picker, Miami Hopper wow.
Bad asses 🤠👍🤘🎸🍻💯
Sick Rick.
You did pretty decent!
Woo mfer!
Wow this brings back memories, I first saw RL at Rockville BMX geez must have been the summer of 83-84!
Good kitty

The cherry picker was such a crazy trick at the time to me to one of my favorite tricks the cherry picker, Miami hopper, the tail whip, and the boomerang, some of the best tricks and BMX history
Love the Rollaid.
And it is fun to see Eddie on the left side peeking in to the Pipeline…
And you can see already the advertising behemoths getting in on the action in the world. Sad state of affairs.
I was at that event!
Martin is such a strange character. 😂
Dino kicked ass back then. All those guys were great.
The Golden age of BMX freestyle. Seeing video nowadays of the stuff I only seen in the magazines brings back some awesome memories 🔥🔥🔥
Couldn't agree more!
Oh sheit, I'm here almost the ending of 2023!! Woody was pretty smooth on his freestyle runs. I was lucky enough to see him perform in southern California in the mid 80s. Also rode with him at a car show cruise night at spot in Anaheim I think it was known to have all kinds of classic cars or get togethers once a month for that event ❤ also rode with Martin Apariho
I gotta know that track @ 2:25! Anyone know?
Motley Crue and Footplant into Disaster!
Bash guard days..
